Ho-Chunk CDC in Nebraska Awarded US Treasury CDFI Technical Assistance Grant
Honolulu, HI – Director Donna J. Gambrell of the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Community Development Financial Institutions Fund (CDFI Fund) announced the latest round of technical assistance grants to 35 Native CDFIs. Ho-Chunk in Nebraska will receive $129,483.
Ho-Chunk Community Development Corporation (Ho-Chunk CDC) is a non-profit tribal
Sponsoring Entity that is creating a Native CDFI to serve the Winnebago, Santee, and Omaha Indian nations in Nebraska. The new Native CDFI will provide microenterprise and small business loans and related development services to its Native American target market. Ho-Chunk CDC will use its FY 2011 Technical Assistance award to build the capacity of the new organization to serve its target market.
