PRACTITIONER JOINS NMPF ADVISORY COMMITTEE
The Nebraska Microenterprise Partnership Fund Board of Directors
has decided to add a practitioner member to the Advisory Committee
of the Board. The Nebraska Enterprise Opportunity Network (NEON)
Executive Committee was asked to put forth the name of a practitioner
staff person (some one involved in the day-to-day activities of
the micro program as lead staff) of a NMPF grantee organization.
The NEON Executive Committee suggested Jeff Reynolds of the Center
for Rural Affairs Rural Enterprise Assistance Project (REAP) for
this position. The NMPF Board of Directors, at its May 2003 meeting,
approved Jeff to serve in this capacity.
"A practitioner serving in this capacity will provide valuable
input to Board discussisons from a grantee/grassroots, management
viewpoint," said Rose Jaspersen. "Successful organizations are built
with grassroots input. We look forward to Jeff attending Board meetings."
