Nebraska's micro and small enterprise support and delivery system is comprised of two state-level organizations, the Nebraska Microenterprise Partnership Fund (NMPF) and the Nebraska Enterprise Opportunity Network (NEON).

NMPF, as an affiliated fund of the Nebraska Community Foundation, is directed by a seven member Board of Directors. A five member Advisory Committee provides additional guidance.

The Fund serves as a financial intermediary by raising funds and re-deploying strategic support for quality local and sub-state programs. The Fund provides direct funding to programs through its own fundraising activities and facilitates funding directly between funders and delivery programs.

NEON is a state microenterprise membership association of practitioner programs which deliver business lending and training assistance to Nebraska micro and small businesses. It is governed by its own member-elected Executive Committee and has become a model for other states. NEON holds an annual conference in December of each year, bringing high level training to member organizations.
