REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
The Nebraska Enterprise Fund (NEF) issues a yearly request for proposal to award grant funds to programs serving Nebraska micro businesses with the purpose of establishing a permanent statewide infrastructure of micro lending programs. Individual businesses are not eligible to apply.
These grants are used to support pre-loan and post-loan business management training and technical assistance and/or, in limited cases, as collateral for loan pools. Program eligibility is set out in the Notice of Funding /Request for Proposal that is issued when funds are available for re-granting. The primary funding source has historically been from state appropriations for the Nebraska Microenterprise Development Act.
