Business Assistance

The Nebraska Enterprise Fund (NEF) is a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) whose mission is to make sure that Nebraska micro and small businesses have access to capital, training, and technical assistance.  NEF envisions a Nebraska where every micro and small business owner has the opportunity and resources to realize his or her potential as a business owner.

NEF is very interested in the success of start-up, existing and growing Nebraska businesses. NEF gathers information and success stories from the work of NEF Program Partners and from businesses that NEF has served directly. Business profiles included on this NEF website show the diverse business types across Nebraska that have received assistance.   Technical assistance or business coaching may have been provided, the business may have obtained a business loan or the business owner or manager may have attended a microenterprise training workshop or seminar.

Nebraska Enterprise Fund’s approach is two pronged, offering direct small/micro business financing assistance and assisting microenterprise development organizations across the state with capital and capacity building assistance.

On the business assistance side, NEF loan products are intended to meet financing needs by filling crucial gaps in small business and micro-enterprise credit.

Partnering and assisting programs across Nebraska to help broaden the availability of financing and business development assistance is crucial to a successful, comprehensive, community development strategy in communities across the state.
